  1. Like the old saying goes: If you don't like the weather, you just need to wait a couple of hours. Wednesday it was in the 50s, yesterday it was -15 at the farm. Frozen water bowls and equipment that wouldn't start all over the place. I don't think the brass monkeys didn't fare so well this weekend, either.......

  2. Big storm coming! We better stock up on bread and milk so we can make french toast after the power and heat go out! Oh, wait, we need eggs. Better get two or three dozen just in case.

  4. Sunny and dry on the Oregon coast. I think it's the third day this year we've seen sunshine. I'd take off on the KLR but the battery is dead.

  5. In Knox Co, Ohio, we got three inches Thursday night, and it melted off by Friday evening. It was horrible, and very scary.

  6. We got eighteen inches (here at 5000' in SW Montana) four days ago, but it has all melted off now. But, having been raised in New England many years ago, we learned to keep a deep pantry in case of storms that closed the roads and kept you from getting to the market (or the food _to_ the market).
